- 1. What part of your project went well?
- 2. What did you have to change?
- 3. What didn't go well?
- 4. If you could try again, what would you do differently?
The success of the project was largely due to the remarkable cooperation and enthusiasm exhibited by the female model. Her willingness to participate actively and her enthusiasm made the entire photoshoot process smooth and enjoyable. Moreover, the choice of the living room as the setting provided a convenient and conducive environment for capturing photographs. The familiarity and comfort of the indoor space made it easier to set up the shots and direct the model, contributing significantly to the success of the project.
Adjustments were necessary primarily in the areas of lighting and shooting speed. Initially, the plan for the shoot involved using a slow shutter speed of 1/30 second along with an aperture of f/5.6, as outlined in Assignment 4. However, upon reviewing the resulting photos, it became apparent that they were much darker than anticipated. To rectify this, modifications to the settings were made to achieve better exposure and brightness in the images.
One of the challenges encountered during the project was the lack of cooperation from the cat actor involved. This posed difficulties in capturing desired shots, affecting the overall quality of the images where the cat was involved. Additionally, the outdoor lighting conditions on the day of the shoot were not optimal, resulting in a lack of vividness and clarity in the outdoor photographs. Furthermore, when zooming in on these images, some noticeable noise became apparent, detracting from the desired image quality.
In a hypothetical re-attempt, selecting a sunny day for the shoot would be a priority to harness ample natural light. This would greatly improve the overall quality of the photographs, particularly in outdoor settings. Moreover, implementing strategies to effectively use natural sunlight by deliberately positioning it within the frame would aim to minimize noise and enhance the clarity and vibrancy of the images, leading to a more successful outcome for the project.
